Find a comfortable place for you where no one can disturb you for the time you have decided to mediate. Make sure it's a quiet and airy space. 

The best time to experience meditation is early morning. However, you may select as per your convenience. Make sure you are there at the same time daily. 

The most popular posture to practice meditation is in the lotus position. Sit with the crossed legged and straight position. The goal is to keep the spine straight. 

Now, close your eyes, take a deep breath, excel and repeat. Allow yourself to feel the breath in your naval. Take time to settle down in the present moment.

In transcendental meditation you silently chant mantra so now, bring it in your mind and start chanting. Keep your focus on your eyes while chanting. 

Stay relaxed and repeat the mantra, if your mind wanders, bring your awareness back to the mantra. It's your first time until you feel uncomfortable doing it. 

When you are done, bring your attention to the space you are sitting in and relax. Allow yourself to feel the energy and emotions. Stay positive for an amazing result.
