One of the most profound questions every spiritual person asks is what is their purpose of being here. I have been seeking the same answer for quite a few years.

In this blog post of BigBrainCouch, I will share some of the core Purpose of Life shared in the Bible. However, it might appear common, yet if you will go deeper, you will be able to differentiate them.

Understanding Purpose in Creation

Before moving forwards, let’s start from the beginning via some Bible verses. As Genesis 1:27 states, “So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.”

My wisdom took me to the reason behind the whole existence on this planet. When it comes to men or women, we all look like we have every property of God.

However, Life is a drama and God, our creator, decided to play a game with us. He gave us a task, to fight for living and search all those that God has blessed us with.

Now let’s understand the core of Purpose of Life in The Bible context. I believe even having the same purpose, everyone walks on a different dimension.

Purpose of Life in The Bible

1- Relationship with God

The purpose of life according to the bible is quite simple and clear, to build a relationship with God. Yes, the core purpose of all of us, even though we are living in a different part of the world, with different communities and belief systems.

In Deuteronomy 6:5, it is written, “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength.” It simply means that while living on a different dimension of life, learn to connect our creator.

This is in fact a little tricky, the Purpose of Life in The Bible context does not mean, leave every responsibility and seek God. It simply means no matter what you do in life, make sure to Have God close to you.

2- Serving Others

Being humans seems like blessings as we have a little of everything that other species on this planet possess. What makes us unique is a brain, an excellent thinking mind that can do much more than a person can imagine.

In Matthew 20:28, Jesus says, “Just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many.” The Purpose of Life in The Bible way is to give others unconditionally to invoke your own strength.

Be selfless when it comes to giving and allow your mind to explore the hidden gift in it. When we do it, we are loved by God as we are fulfilling His will. In simple terms, “By Giving We Receive.”

3- Living a Life of Obedience and Faith

No matter how troubled the human mind is today, the fact is God has already shared the roadmap to live an abundant life. Everything seems messy on this planet because of ignoring or not knowing the guidelines.

According to the Bible the life purpose can be only fulfilled if one can obey God’s will and follow the guidelines. According to Ecclesiastes 12:13 “Fear God and keep His commandments, for this is the duty of all mankind.”

I believe we must fear the outcome of our Karma because God is so kind that He has already given the rulebook. Therefore the Purpose of Life in The Bible context is to be faithful and obedient by living a Godly life.

4- Eternal Perspective

As we all know that everything begins on the inside first and then the outcome in the world occurs. We need not to be a blind believers but to have a genuine sense of faith by experimenting God’ words.

In John 14:2-3, Jesus assures His followers, “My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.”

When you understand the deeper meaning of every single Bible verse, life becomes easy to live abundantly. The Purpose of Life in The Bible is to live by faith, having God by your side and fulfilling your duty.

5- Spreading the Gospel

One of the highlighted purposes mentioned in the bible is to spread God’s words and let others be aware of it. In Matthew 28:19-20, Jesus commands, “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.”

I believe the best way to introduce other people about God and His command is to become an example in society. If we follow God’s words, our life seems so abundant and magnetic that people will naturally gravitate towards us.

The Purpose of Life in The Bible taught me to develop a strong bond with God by following His guidelines and let others crave to know the secret of my life. This is the real and most effective way to spread words about God.
