Chakras are the energy centers of our body. They dictate the way energy flows in various parts of our body. They are key to our well being. Imbalance in chakras or closed chakras cause physical, emotional and mental health issues.

Understanding chakras, cleansing them from time to time and healing them keep a person healthy and happy. However, any blocked chakra affects the entire health and causes imbalance in overall life.

Lets begin with the first chakra which is the Root chakra.

1- Root Chakra (Muladhara)

Root chakra is connected to our physical body, the lower parts of our body. Physical organs such as the lower back, feet, legs, cologne and overall immune system are controlled by root chakra.

When the root chakra is blocked you will experience various physical signs as well. Signs such as lower back pain, feet problems, legs pain, clone issues or poor immune system.

The major root Chakra Blockages Symptoms are feeling a detachment to yourself, laziness , chronic fatigue etc. One of the most common signs or blocked root chakra is financial difficulties and a sense of insecurity and instability.

2- Sacral Chakra (Swadhisthana)

Sacral chakra is also associated with our physical body which is the mid part of our lower body. Body parts such as the reproductive system, urinary system and digestive systems are controlled by sacral chakra.

When the sacral chakra is imbalanced or overactive there are some physical signs that can be visibly sensed. Some of the signs, such as issues in digestion, include lower back pain. Urinary issues and low libido indicated blocked sacral chakra.

Some of the major Sacral Chakra Blockages Symptoms are emotional instability, mood swings, lack of creativity. It also includes challenges in expressing true emotions and turbulence in emotional health.

3- Solar Plexus Chakra (Manipura)

Solar plexus is one of the most important chakra in the human body. It controls the area around the stomach including the digestive system. Also it has the power to control our emotional and mental state.

When the solar plexus chakra is imbalanced or overactive some of these symptoms occur physically. Stomach ulcers, eating disorders, unhealthy livers and chronic fatigue are signs of imbalanced solar chakra.

The major Solar Plexus Chakra Blockages Symptoms are lack of confidence, lower self esteem and sense of powerlessness. Feeling stuck in life also indicates that you need to work on your solar plexus chakra.

4- Heart Chakra (Anahata)

Heart chakra is known as an important chakra as it is the center of the physical and spiritual world. Imbalanced heart chakra creates imbalance between these two worlds.

Some of the physical signs of imbalance in heart chakra are heart, lung problems and high blood pressure. It also causes asthma, immune system disorder and blood or oxygen circulation issues.

5- Throat Chakra (Vishuddha)

As the name suggests, throat chakra rules the area around the neck, or throat. When the throat chakra is blocked you may experience some physical signs.

Signs such as sore throat, thyroid problems, mouth ulcers, neck pain or jaw tensions can be experienced. In other words, all the health issues around the neck are caused by throat chakra.

The major throat Chakra Blockages Symptoms are difficulty in expressing yourself in words. Fear of public speaking or communication and lack of creativity are caused by blocked throat chakra.

6- Third Eye Chakra (Ajna)

Third eye chakra is one of the most powerful and important chakra we human beings are blessed with. In Hinduism, it is believed that if Lord Shiva opens His third eye, the entire world will collapse.

We human beings are blessed with the God power that resides in the third eye chakra. This chakra rules over all of our intuition and physical organs. When third eye chakras are blocked, You will have headache, vision problems, sinus and difficulty in sleeping.

The seventh and divine chakra is out of our body in our energy body called crown chakra. This chakra connects us to the universe, and God Himself which is the most important for us human beings.

When the crown chakra is blocked, it directly affects your eye chakra. As you read above all the head and brain related issues occur. Therefore you can say that crown chakra has a direct effect on our third eye.

The Crown Chakra Blockages Symptoms can be physically as depression, insomnia, migraine and sensitivity to light. The main sign of blocked crown chakra is disconnection from God, lack of life purpose and existential crises.

As the root chakra is the foundation, you must do the activities that help open it. These activities will balance the mind, body, and spirit.
