In today’s time, most of us spend a lot of time at the workplace around people who are from different communities and faith. You may say that most of our productive time is used there. For individuals, the workplace can be engaging, refreshing, enriching and challenging as well.
The thought I am trying to say at this point is that being around different beliefs, habits and perspectives can be overwhelming sometimes. It’s one of the reasons most of the workplaces don’t allow discussion about religion and faith.
Desiring to spread your faith, which is best for you, among other people is not a sin but inspiring. However, know that every belief is best for individuals as it helps them navigate their lives.
In this blog post of BigBrainCoach, I will share 7 ways to Integrate Faith in the Workplace without hurting or pointing others beliefs. Before we go to the tips, let’s see what the bible says about sharing your faith in the workplace.
Bible Verses About Faith in The Workplace
Colossians 3:23-24: “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.”
Proverbs 16:3: “Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and he will establish your plans.”
These two verses clearly teach to surrender to Lord while doing your work, He Himself will take care of the rest of the things. Hold that intention of spreading faith in the workplace in your heart and Let God lead you.
Matthew 5:16: “In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.”
There are many Verses I can share here to prove my opinion on this topic. Based on My thoughts, understanding, and even the experience after applying the spiritual Faith in the Workplace, here are some tips for you.
Ways Integrate Faith in The Workplace
1- Authenticity and Respect
In order to let other people wonder about your faith it’s crucial to show our belief in our behavior. Before looking at others, respect others faith naturally and respect what they believe in. Make sure it should not look fake or overacting.
Be humble and respectful towards other fellow employees, so they feel safe and comfortable with you. In other words, let your true nature touch their core and gravitate towards your faith.
Never judge but be open to listen to their faith, rituals, beliefs and daily religious practices. Integrating Faith in The Workplace can be challenging as it demands a lot of patience and your strength to be polite and respectful towards those who don’t even respect you.
It’s one of the ways to win their trust and believe in the way you live your life.

2- Lead by Example
Fifth isn’t about creating more followers but it’s a way to guide other people to live a better and peaceful life. Workplace, undoubtedly, is one of the most challenging places, even to the bosses.
If you have a very clear goal to let other fellow believers believe in your Faith in The Workplace, lead by example. Workplace can be a super comfortable one too if you know how to lead and win others heart.
You don’t need to forcefully do anything to attract them but let your actions talk about your faith. When you act with love, kindness, co-operation and help others using your values, God himself helps you in many ways.

Whenever you get time, try to know other people, their rituals, their festivals, their customs and so on. Be involved in the celebrations and be humble and respective towards their tradition. Before telling them about yourself, let them tell you about themselves.
Giving other people a chance to open themselves to you makes them comfortable and open to hear from you as well. It’s one of the most effective ways to integrate Faith in The Workplace.
Such patience can make you more polite, humble and peaceful in the heart if you do it with compassion and willingly.
4- Foster Dialogue and Understanding
The best part of being around many people can be beneficial in many ways, in my opinion. Think about it, if people have the same thinking pattern and belief, how boring will the time be? It’s good to have a variety of people around and have quality conversation as well.
Having good communication skills, within boundaries and with respect you have a chance to enter into many hearts. A few skills can fill the gaps between two different people in the long term, even in the worst circumstances.
Use the lunch time, coffeetime and other breaks having discussion about various topics including different living lifestyles. It’s one of the other other effective ways to integrate Faith in The Workplace.

5- Align Values and Ethical Standards
The best part about spiritual values and ethics is that they are all covered with different languages and community rules. If you peel the layer of every religious belief, you will find the same essence.
Whenever you have time and gather, encourage your employees and colleagues to share and align with others with an open mind. Allow them to do activities based on any belief together and reflect how it goes.
Nurturing individuals’ culture and faith by supporting and accepting as they are is a great way to integrate Faith in The Workplace. Acceptance is a great quality that makes an individual one for the core in the most organic ways.
